Back taxes on lot I own. Advice needed

Hi all,

I have a weird situation. I own a lot which I purchased in 2014 and I found out today that there are back taxes dues on the lot from 2013 and 2012. My question is do I have recourse now against the former owner? It's for approx $360 total. Is it worth the lawyer fees and time to go after? Thanks in advance.
