Greetings all - newbie from northern California

Hello all,

My name is Marwin and I hail from California. I'm a complete beginner and stumbled upon biggerpockets while sifting through (I shamefully admit) paid mentors.

As for my experience, I do not have much to show for. I have already consumed some of the great educational material on this site as well as several books suggested in the podcasts in the past week. I still have mountains more of material to absorb.

With that said, my goal at the moment is to increase my level of experience by offering my (albeit limited) services to REI. A more specific goal I have is to attend RE courses and become a licensed agent to be able to utilize its strong advantages later on in this career.

My later goals would be to purchase one property (or two) by the end of this year to either flip or as a rental. End game goals would be to establish a company and completely automate the business.

Thank you for your time and I am very glad to be part of this community.

@Marwin Balibrea

Welcome to Bigger Pockets, lots of great information and people to connect with here.

Sounds like you have a strong plan going - that's a 1st good step - congratulations.

No shame in buying REI educational products, I have quite a few.

It only took one good deal to pay back all the courses I've purchased.

I still buy products on occasion, if nothing else, just to compare what I'm doing as a do-it-myself rehabber to other business models.

Cheers,

- Joe
