New member in NYC/ northern NJ

Hey Everyone,

Andy Graves here and I'm very glad to have found this site. I've been working as a project manager for a general contractor in NYC for the last 20 years. I also have a  background in carpentry in my youth.

I'm new to real estate. Learning the ropes. During the last three years, during vacations, I have been building what will eventually be my retirement home outside Duluth Mn. That house project is almost finished so I can turn my finances to real estate. Planning on staying in NYC for another 8 years. During that time I want to buy rental properties to hold in the NY/ NJ area. Probably start with single or two family in need of some repairs.

I'm looking forward to interacting with the community. It seems daunting all the pieces I need to organized to buy a property, financial analysis, legal, accounting, real estate agents etc.. Hopefully I can give back to the community by sharing my life time of construction experience, especially for New Yorkers.

Thanks in advance for all the help!!!
