Any software to track what properties I looked at?

Hi All,

I'm back in buying mode and having a heck of a time keeping track of what properties I'm looking at and notes about each of them.

Is there any software, preferably free but I'll consider anything that can help me with this? What do you use?

it would be really great if it would allow me to have different views, like most recently added or categorized by price or rehab costs.

Hi guys, this is great stuff. I'm trying Podio right now and loving it for the moment. I personally want to keep all these properties out of my contact lists on my phone/rolodex.

I've been meaning to set up a tracking system using MS Outlook. In people/contact section you can add custom fields and call them whatever you want ($$rehab/ARV/DOM etc. You can search AND sort by any field. Also has a notes field as well as mapping. Just an idea that I hadn't gotten to yet.

Might even be able to do the same within Google contacts?

I was looking into doing something similar and either using a CRM (lots of free ones out there or with good trials) or combining a Google Sheet with an add-on for mapping, so I can look at the list by neighborhood.

I got the idea for the free CRM after Googling and finding a BP blog post that talks about the same exact thing (https://www.biggerpockets.com/renewsblog/2014/02/1...).  They tested 2 CRMs.

So I heard about Podio again on one of the podcasts and I'm giving it a shot. I like they already have recipes for me to jump right into. I just wish I could find one that was specifically for tracking properties I've looked at on line.

You can try My Maps that google offers.  You can plot the property and add any notes you like to track.  Not a database though, so only way I know of to scan the properties is visually by location (it is a map function, after all).

I don't know of anything like this. But I have heard increasing requests for dashboard-like products that are essentially not connected to any listing but still allow people to keep track of all the properties they look at.

If I get back into new product development later this year, I may take a stab. What sources for properties are most valuable for you to have integration with?
