How to get started in real estate investing

Question

Hello I'm Adonte Lipscomb and I'm very serious about getting started with real estate investing.  If there is anyone with advice or guides I'm all ears

The best advice I can give is to start small. Don't be lured by the promised of huge returns or profits on very cheap properties. Find something where numbers will work for you, and it doesn't require a huge renovation or rehab. Hit a single on your first property; don't swing for the fences. You can't afford to strike out on your first one. Once you're on base, and you've learned how to negotiate an offer, manage contractors, get renters, etc., then you can start looking at riskier, potentially more profitable deals.

As someone who is acquiring (almost) 60 doors  (assuming the deal that I am working on now goes through) within one year, I would honestly say talk to other people who are knowledgeable in the field. Try to find good agents, mortgage brokers and etc. Build a solid power team. You might go through tens of different people but find the people that best understand what you are looking to do and can get the job done when you have found the property that works for you. There is a ton of value to knowing, talking and working with the right people.
