Tampa St Pete Rental Market

I've been looking for a few months for a great 2/2 condo in St Petersburg FL to purchase as a rental property.  Ive been thinking close to Tampa to capitalize on people looking to rent a place outside of tampa to commute into tampa.  But the inventory in St Petersburg isn't great.

Tampa seems to have nicer places for the same price, I'm sure there's a downside.  Is Tampa a smart place to buy a condo as a rental property?  Will it be easy to rent?

There are a lot more 2/2s available for rent in Tampa vs St Petersburg according to zillow.
