Noise reduction for upstairs rental unit

Hi BPers,

I'm getting ready to replace new flooring in an upstairs rental. This house is a triplex and has two units downstairs. Someone mentioned it might be a good time to soundproof the floor. Even though we had carpet in this unit, I would prefer to go with glue down vinyl planks (LVT) throughout if possible.

Is there a product that I could put down on the subfloor that might help noise reduction? Or would I have to put something below the subfloor?

Any ideas are welcomed. Thank you.
