Offer Accepted- Pending an in-person walk through?

Hello All, I recently put an offer in on a multi family unit ~6 hours from where I currently live. The offer was accepted pending I come to the site in-person and view it.... it will be 2 weeks before I can get out there (due to work and family obligations). Have any of you experienced this? Being required to see the units in-person as a stipulation to closing the deal? Why is this one of the seller's requirements? Thanks All!
