Rental home caught fire + renter's insurance

Eric A.
Posted

Hi,

My rental home caught fire and received some extensive damage. The tenant does carry renter's insurance. Do I have a legal claim to collect from his insurance?

Thanks!

Mitch is right. Renters insurance is meant to cover their property. You need to have your own insurance!
