How much cash does it take to join a MF syndicate?

Hi all.   We've done well with our SFR investments, now I'd like to branch out.  If I have 50k available to invest, would that be enough to join a syndicate to purchase an apartment complex?  I live an hour north of Dallas, and would want to stay in that area.

$50K is typical for many syndicated deals. I've seen as low as $25K but those are usually done by first timers.

@Yousif Abudra, at the moment, I don't believe I would qualify as an accredited investor.  But I'm trying!!!!.  LOL

@Roger S. Yes, you will be able to find syndications with a $50k minimum.  Most of our investors are putting in $100k, even though $50k is our minimum as well.

The real question is if you are an accredited investor, if so, your options are broader.  If not, they are much more limited.

Hi Roger,

$50K is about the right amount it seems to get investors to invest while making it easier to raise funds without having to talk to a lot of investors.  Your opportunities will increase (choices of syndications) if you are accredited investor.  That is really the other question you need to ask.  We do a lot of deals in DFW and like the market there a lot for value add apartment investing.  Here's a few syndicate articles you may find helpful if new to this area.
