Landlord disclosures to new landlords

Unfortunately we found bedbugs in our apartment. We are convinced they came from the complex's laundry room since neither of use traveled recently nor had house guests. It was deemed a very mild infestation since we caught it early. We had the requisite 3 treatments, put all of our things in plastic bags, and purchased bedbug casings for the bed. At the end of the treatment, the exterminator inspected the unit and found no further trace and we haven't had any problems for 6+ months.

We're preparing to move to a new apartment and wondered if the existing landlord is legally required to notify the new potential landlord of this issue when the new landlord calls to check our rental history.
