Im getting started on a couple of squeeze pages for Motivated sellers and Cash buyers... also a blog... I was curious if anyone else has active sites & what type of results your having... Also what is your sites currently worth?

The site's valuation techniques totally ignore anything but banner ad revenue and is more suited for parked pages than 99% of most business related websites which are designed to generate other forms of revenue.

That actually makes sense though...Site worth calculators typically go off of Alexa ranking, # of visitors per day, & daily ad revenue...the calculation actually seems pretty accurate if you were to try selling the site on something like flippa to an website investor... Regardless of the amount of revenue you generated personally it wasn't your actual site doing the work, it was you & your skilled service.. it seems like its been an awesome lead source but the traffic wasn't monetized so the actual site is probably only worth 400-500 to someone else.

The value of any web site is better determined by the overall business it generates, not the ad revenue (which is what most domain valuation sites measure and is the lowest common denominator).

If you have a site with low traffic, but all the traffic it does get is from motivated home sellers that want to sell fast - the overall value would be much higher than any automated domain valuation site would tell you.

We buy domains and companies from investors all the time, and it's almost always for more than what a valuation site would price them at.

Amazon.com's market cap is $84.21 billion.  Unlike web sites or real estate, its trivial to put a value on a publicly traded company.  That site puts the value of Amazon's web site at $131.67 million.  Seriously?  Without their web site, how much business does Amazon do?  Zillow may not be accurate, but compared to that web site, zillow is deadly accurate.  Hopefully you have no involvement with that site, Stephen.

Based on everyone's replies it seems like the REAL value for REI information & lead generating websites isn't all to easy to calculate... But it does seem like everyone who is actively using them is having positive results.

P.S. I just read through the previous posts I put up last night ... WOW Im embarrassed how many spelling & grammatical errors I made, I guess that's why its always good to proof read before hitting "post reply"... I swear English is my first language haha.

That site must be equal to Zillow for real estate! LOL

I agree many sites aren't targeting add revenue as the goal.

I get offers frequently because of my page ranking to swap links,pay for links,put ads on etc.

I don't want any of that crap on my sites.

I checked one of my friends sites that says it is worth 12,000 and they have already had offers from Home Gain and House Values for over a million to buy them which they declined.

Doesn't matter what you are buying everyone is always looking for the deal.

A few checks of some high tech companies and comparing their estimated web site value vs. their market caps convinces me any value produced by that siteworthchecker is truly useless.
