Career that help real estate investors

I was just curiously about general opinions. I have met lots of real estate investors that became agents to help them find deals. I was just curious if there were people out there that became home inspectors, appraisers or mortgage brokers to help advance their real estate investing. I was just curious to hear about anyone experience what it worth it? Why that chosen path etc?
