The seller cannot close on the date agreed
What would you do if your seller couldn't close on the date agreed upon?
Would you take advantage of the situation and ask for a price reduction.
It is an estate sale and the seller don't yet have all the paperwork necessary to close and needs more date.
I am no longer super keen on proceeding with the purchase and I wonder what my options are.
- Can I back out of the deal?
- Can I get a price reduction?
What do you think?

if your closing date came and went with no written extension then your out of contract.. your not obligated to buy and he/she is not obligated to sell.. you no longer have a contract.. unless there is some language that gives auto extensions for these type of events.
