New to this and very lost in Florida

I am brand new to this and really don't know where to start as there is so much information. Any suggestions?

@Heidi Lutz  Since you are on BP, I'm assuming you want to hold that property as a rental.  Do you own a house?  If so, the process of getting qualified is basically the same.  If you have never bought a house, you will need to provide proof of enough stable income to support the mortgage payments, good credit, and sufficient cash and reserves to close.  I'd be happy to walk you through that process.  If you are buying a duplex or larger, plan on living in one of the units.  Contact a local realtor to help you with finding properties in the best locations based on the amount of money you want to spend.  Get qualified for a mortgage before you begin that search.
