Business plan template for multi family investing

Posted

I have spent the past several months furthering my real estate education, paying down personal debt, and building cash reserves in an effort to re-enter the multi family space in 2019. It's time for me to start developing a written business plan, and am wondering if anyone has found a template which is well tailored to real estate. Moreover, I am interested in knowing what more experienced investors would consider essential or important components to include, which might not be obvious to me after reading chapter 4 (Investment business plan section) of the beginners guide posted here on B.P

My primary long term interest is buy and hold 10 - 50 unit B or C+ properties in steady growth markets with an emphasis on cash flow. I have experience owning single family rentals as well as triplexes, although not recently.

I basically disagree with what the vast majority of the guys saying you dont need one or dont use a template. Templates are a great way to work for the very reasons you mentioned. Just like they use templates to design all the agreements and forms they use for there daily business.
