Where do you advertise vacant rentals?

We have used local Facebook real estate and yard sale pages in the past, but now we are not getting any responses. Any suggestions for good places to advertise?

@Myron Voorhis ive used turbotenant in the past, it lists your property on all the major sites like apartments.com, zillow, etc. if youre near a college, most colleges have a board or in person bulletin board where you can hang flyers same with nearby hospitals and coffee shops. facebook marketplace and facebook real estate groups and craigslists are additional options too. you can also ask a real estate agent to do it for you, most charge 1 month rent.

I use fAcebook marketplace and hotpads with great success . Makes screening easy as well

I would list your vacant unit on all the online rental listing services: apartments.com, craigslist, zillow, trulia, etc.

You can also hire a real estate agent to rent your unit. There are also locators you can work with.

@Myron Voorhis I use Zillow, Cozy, and Craigslist.  I saw some comments about Craigslist inviting scammers, but I have had a good experience so far.  Good luck

No responses, lower the price.  A place filled at $100 a month less is better than 2 months+ of vacancy.

@Myron Voorhis In our market we get the best quality tenants from Zillow rental manager. You post to there and it is posted on Zillow and all of their partner sites. For high dollar rentals $1500 and up we have had success with our local MLS also.

I don’t limit myself. Everywhere and anywhere that people may look to rent a place. Yard sign, Zillow, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Apartments.com, word of mouth. I’ve gotten leads from all of these places. Each one has it’s downfalls and it’s perks. I also require 60 day notice for tenant to move out and immediately begin marketing for rent.
