Vacation rents in Baja Mexico

We are looking at buying a small 2 bedroom house on the beach in Northern Baja Mexico. Would love some feedback on the health of the vacation rental market there. Do these properties appreciate much in value? What should we be aware of when buying in Baja? Any connections that can speak into this would be appreciated too. Thanks!
