Your paths to success and the maturation process along the way?

I’m interested to hear from the successful investors on this forum and your paths to success. I guess my biggest question would be; what was your maturation process (i.e. did you start out as a part-time/full-time investor, are you still part-time/full-time, did you have a mentor, and any other steps that led to your success in your journey)? I appreciate all of your responses ahead of time.
