Purchase Rentals in Northern New Jersey

Hi Any and Everyone,

I am new to purchasing property.  I have not purchased anything yet but looking to start.  I presently live in northern new jersey.  Are there property owners who have rental homes in Newark, East Orange and Patterson?  I am looking for insight on purchasing in those areas.  What are up and coming areas in each town?  What has been your experience in the particular areas?  In a nutshell anything you can share would be greatly appreciated for a newbie

Hi @Elisa Davis. I am in North Jersey just further West of the areas you are looking in.  Where are you at in the process?  Best thing to do when first starting out is speak to a lender regarding pre approval if you intend on purchasing property via traditional means.
