Newbie in Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex

Hello, my name is Makayla! I have absolutely no experience in real estate. I'm from California looking to move to the DFW area within the next 2 years. Currently I am a security guard full time as well as a full time student. My goals include wanting to house hack and build up to the point of buying more properties for long time rentals. I honestly have no idea how I came across Bigger Pockets. I watch Graham Stephan on YouTube periodically and just wanted to learn how to be in his shoes.

Long story short started googling and came across this forum. My goals are a bit far out so I don't know if I should really even be dipping my toes in so prematurely, but here I am.

Ill end with a question. How soon is too soon to look for agents on these forums to establish a relationship for something that is going to happen in reality closer to 2022? 

Also for those that house hacked fourplexes it would be awesome to talk to you individually!
