Seller to pick up sub flooring cost...
Hello,
I am currently in my due diligence period on a 2 flat that was recently remodeled within 10 years. After walking the property with my contractor we realized that the second floor unit will need to have the floor in three locations to be ripped open and believes there will be sub floor joist that needs to be replaced.
My thought is so try to get the seller to pick up on this tab of the repair since it’s pretty obvious how unleveled the floor is on the 2nd floor.
Any suggestions with negotiating this issue at attorney review?
P.S. the house has been on the market for 250 days and only seemed to have one other buyer interested recently.

@Javier K Perea I would have your contractor write-up the estimate to repair / replace the floor joist and subfloor and do 1 of 2 things:
1. Request the seller give you an allowance at closing for the repair.
2. Offer a lower purchase price to account for this repair.
Now here's the thing....if the floor joist need to be replaced can it be done without tearing out the ceiling below?
