Trying to find a 4plex in Chicagoland!

Hello BP!

Newbie here! I decided to jump into real estate through house hacking by the way of FHA loan. Currently searching for a 4-plex. I'm fairly new to Chicago, and live out in the 'burbs. Any advice on finding a 4plex in southwest(berwyn,cicero, oak park,forest park,north riverside) suburbs of Chicago? If not, recommendations on an area to search? What's hot in Chicagoland right now?

Also, this may seem silly... As far as FHA loan, is it best/possible to get pre-approved before you find the property?
