How to find a mentor/coach in MF?

I'm starting out in REI, I've read the books, analyzed deals, watch podcasts, my next step is to find a mentor or a coach, how can I find one? Thanks!

Know what you want to achieve first and foremost and become educated in that. Make sure you have the foundation and understanding before you spend the money on a mentor. I won't consider mentoring someone that doesn't have the basics down. That's a waste of both of our time.

To find the right mentor, look for someone with experience and that has done what you're trying to do. I would also want someone that has been in the business for 10+ years. I would also look for someone that has a similar philosophy as you. For instance, if you are a buy and hold person looking to buy 10-20 unit buildings and live off of that income, son't hire a multifamily syndicator that buys 200+ unit buildings and holds them for only 3-5 years.

Going to a local investing event and finding other professionals who would want you to guide them and get started in the journey. These people will have a real perspective on investing in the area and can give you good perspective.

There are a number of ways you can find mentors depending on your goals and resources You can hire one, got to work for one, or join an experienced team and learn from them. There are some great courses and mentorship programs out there. You need to find the best fit for where you are and what you want to do and pull the trigger.
