Most experienced agents are investors themselves

I'm a newbie looking to start with Multi-family house hacking in the next 3 months.

I'm working with an agent. I have looked for an agent who is an investor himself, but what stops them if the property in which we are looking at something that he should have recommended based on my criteria, to compete against me?

PS: I'm not questioning my agent, we already spoke about this, and come to an agreement.
