What's important to you when working with a Brokerage??

Curious to get people's input on what's the deciding factor when choosing a Real Estate Brokerage firm?

Small Brokerages in areas where there is VOLUME. This, in my opinion, is where you will get the most hands-on help.

A place that mentors/teaches their agents to be top-notch in competency, professionalism, marketing, closing, etc.  The spectrum is too wide with a lot of crappy agents.  The low barrier to entry to get a license and discount shops not investing time to develop productive and top level agents contribute to this.  Also, most reputable bigger brand firms have great tools, marketing, etc but you should also try to locate a solid office that does produce warm leads.  I'm not talking tools to generate cold seller/buyer leads.  I'm referring to interested sellers/buyers/investors that are ready to go in the next 30 days.  Good leads => more business => more income.  Again, assuming you have been trained or possess the skills to close the leads provided.

too many people think a broker is going to drop business in their lap. I think a good broker is a mentor that helps you learn how to develop your own business while providing you supervision and keeping you within the boundaries of the law and good customer service.
