Guesty Vs. Hostaway. Pros and cons anybody?

Greetings All,

Just wanted to check in and see if anybody has used either of the two or both. I watched both their demos and got the pricing infos as well. Guesty seems to have a lot more features and analytics but they charge more as well, understandably. Hostaway told me Guesty charges a percentage of the revenue in addition to the monthly subscription fee. I have a call set up to confirm that but does anybody know?

I have 5 STRs. Wondering if it is worth it? Would appreciate the input and also, if there are better alternatives.

@Anusha Udas I'm a big fan of Hostaway.  I switched to them about 2 years ago after using iGMS & YourPorter, and haven't looked back.  Guesty seems good, but it's about twice the price ($50+), but I don't feel the features justify the difference in price.  Hostaway directly integrates with our other software solutions (Breezeway & Pricelabs), and it has been working great for us.

Hey Anusha, I am designing my 5th unit know and since the 2nd unit I have been using Ownerrez as a Channel Mgr. they have been great for me. I am using VRBO,Booking and Airbnb. Is was the best thing that I could have done early on.

@Terrell Hill Besides Ownerrez, are you also using Breezeway or Pricelabs mentioned above, or do you find Ownerrez to take care of all your needs?

@Anusha Udas You can schedule tasks for your cleaners and what not and there is a reports section that you pull some data from.  i.e.  ADR, Yearly, YTD and monthly stats on your cabins.  I have 3 properties on it and will be adding the 4th in a few months hopefully.  It works great and does what I need, but again, if you need tech support it is sub par.

Thank you @Ken Boone. Appreciate the suggestion. I'm looking into YourPorter. Does it also have a task management and analytics section? I didn't see it in the features section of the website.

@Terrell Hill: Thanks for the suggestion.  I looked into Ownerrez a little bit. I'm going to ask you the same question. Do you have analytics and task management on it? I was very attracted to the amount of automation Guesty's demo advertised. The analytics and task management was a big one for me to save time. Also, it looked like you could branch out into property management for other owners as well.

When I did the hostaway demo, they said that Guesty's customer service is sub par if you have very few properties on them.
