I am an insurance broker and I recommend at least $1 million to all my clients.  When you have STR and also a pool, you likely need more.  Another factor is the amount of assets you have to protect.  If you own other properties and have a large amount of other asset that could be lost in a lawsuit, consider having enough umbrella coverage to match or exceed the value of those assets.

Hey Peter! I would say a standard $1M Commercial Liability Coverage policy will cover you well. Look up Proper Insurance as they deal with STRs on a regular basis. Where is your unit? Just picked 1 up in St. Petersburg with a pool. Reach out when you can!
