Real Estate License to invest in Texas
Currently not working in the real estate industry (I work in construction). Is it feasible to get a real estate license and is it worth it (in texas)? I understand it is a little complicated due to needing a broker (and basically you have to work for one to get 100% certified).
I understand that its not needed to invest, but my understanding is that if possible to have it, it gives you an upper hand on investing.

In what ways would it give you an upper hand? In my opinion it is a distraction from a core Focus of growing an investment business.
I guess you would have access to the MLS, but very few investors Buy on the MLS because the deals are so overpriced. Also Buyer Agents get paid by the seller and will be glad to send you anything you want because they want to close more deals.
