Tenant Screening -18 year old living with parent
We have bought a tenant occupied home and we are inclined to extend their lease by 2-3 months only. There is a single parent and two boys 19 years old and 17 years old. The application clearly states that all tenants over the age of 18 need to apply. The parent submitted her application, the 19 y/o did not.
Do we bother asking for it? What could go wrong in 2-3 months? What am I overlooking?

We require anyone over the age of 18 to complete an application. Reach out and remind them that the 19 year old needs to complete the application too. Don't let tenants start to run your business. Follow your procedures. We don't run credit on children of married couples in the home. We do conduct a background check though.
