Postcard Damage! Are all direct mail pieces vulnerable to damage?

It seems like each time I mail myself a postcard for testing, it has significant damage. It’s fine. I understand the piece goes through much at USPS. I use PropStream. Are there companies that do things differently that would cause less damage to a piece? I’m in the air between PropStream and Post Card Mania. Seems unlikely, but want to ask. Thanks.
