Bank owned abandoned house, bank hangs up on me

There is a house very close to my primary that has been an eyesore for 10+ years.

There has been no sign of life fro over 1 year.

It was granted to Newrez/Shellpoint over 1 year ago.

I want to buy it. Called Newrez and they took most of my info to give to the acquisition dept, then the line went dead.

I called back and they hung up on me when I mentioned an abandoned property.

This place is actually becoming a nuisance with varmints and out of control bamboo.

Anyone have a contact for them, I can't find one, or am I wasting my time?
