Thoughts on buying a multi-unit, and selling my house.

I am very motivated and excited to start my real estate journey with multi-units. However, I am at a toss-up right now whether I should wait and sell my house later, or if I should sell it now, use the money on a multi-unit property(house hack) and begin my journey now.  Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.
