Would you work with a 15 years old virtual wholesaler

Question

I want to start virtual wholesaling and I am 15 years old but I think that I won't make it because of my age. In your case would you be willing to work with a 15 year old wholesaler ?

I'm impressed with your moxi. That will take you far if you use it right.

I have very driven kids who have known what they wanted to specialize in since their early teens, and that kind of confidence and passion will serve you well in the long run. However, as an inexperienced 15 year old, you're going up against experienced as well as inexperienced adults with years of experience, professionalism, and communication skills under their belts. You have the vision- that is such a key factor in an individual's success in any business- but I think your time will be better spent acquiring real-life work experience which will build the foundation for your future REI career. If you take the next three years- until you are 18-19- to work for or intern with local investors or real estate agents, you'll have the street cred and experience required to be taken seriously once you are out of HS. My suggestion would be to reach out to investors/agents you find on this site and offer to do deal analysis, research, make the PIA information gathering phone calls they don't want to make. You could ask for a percentage commission which doesn't seriously impact their bottom line/profit but will generate much more income than the typical minimum wage job available to minors. Or- there may be some situations where the opportunity to work and learn under a seasoned investor is worth the experience alone. There's a reason students intern. My daughter has been interning at an UNC neuroscience lab for free since her junior year, but she also got published in a study as a result. Instant credibility moving forward- well worth the hours working for free while she was still in school. By the time you are 18, you will not only have excellent real world experience and an established network, but you will also have a mentor who trusts you and may be willing to partner with you.

Props to you for knowing the power of real estate at such a young age. I am 20 now but when I was 15 I started learning about real estate. With a couple years of learning and meeting people I became a realtor at 19. I am now investing in properties and selling houses while having fun. So as good as it sounds to start early, you don't want to start that early. It could ruin your chances in the future of having the confidence/skills to pursue it. If you start now it is possible to get a few deals you just need to know your stuff. I recommend learning as much as you can until you turn 18 then come in and dominate the field.

You would have to be one hell of a salesman to get anyone to do business with you. It's not impossible, but you would be wiser to spend your time at a regular job.

You would really have to know your stuff and be extremely confident in how you spoke to potential sellers. My guess is you haven't closed a deal before and people will be able to pick up on that through the phone. My recommendation would be to focus on school for now then work for a wholesaler who is very successful and good at what they do and learn from them first and then eventually branch off and do it on your own.
