Do you use an ozone generator in your STR?

Question

Some of my kitchens have an "international" smell to them from renters that came from overseas.  They cooked some of their traditional foods that were quite spicy.  Some of my living rooms smell like smoke.  I've shampooed the carpet and wiped down the walls with ammonia and vinegar but to no avail.  I'm thinking about ordering an ozone generator.  It's an 11,0000 mg model.  Will that be sufficient for average sized rooms?

Vinegar and ammonia won't get much of the smoke smell off the walls and ceiling (don't forget that area).  You need to use TSP (trisodium phosphate) to wash them down, and rinse them again with plain water.  Use gloves or a mop, it's hard on your skin.  I don't think the ozone machine will work totally until you eliminate the main source of the smell.

On the kitchen smell, have you cleaned the underside of the range hood, and taken out the fan filter and ran it through the dishwasher?

I have this one at our rentals, so the cleaner has access to them in the event of the house being left with an odor such as a smoke smell and it has done wonders to remove the smoke stench left. Only needs to be run for a hour or two and then air out the space. I have only used it in one home so far that was a 1200 sq ft home.

I honestly don't know what size we use but our cleaning team does have one that is pretty effective on tough smells, especially smokers.
