At closing I got my check which is my profit and remodeling costs. My accountant refused to deduct these expenses on my Capital Gains form.He included the total cash received at closing. What can I do? So basically he’s having me pay taxes on my own money.HELP!

First thing first when meet CPA: you tell them your biggest concern and what you want to achieve so they can understand what to do and what they can't do. Give them a challenge at the beginning rather than treating it just like passing another tax return every year.
