Hey @Meibae Wu - I think whether you redevelop or start from will totally depend on how the numbers work out. If you found some great-priced land where you can make new construction, that's awesome and you should do that. However, if you can find a great existing building that you can renovate that might be a less expensive option.
Building new construction here in Chicago is definitely much more expensive than it used to be...
