Furnace & Air Installed Premature

Mike Dempsey
Posted

We installed a Carrier Furnace & Air Conditioner in a house that was under contract but not closed yet. The sellers let us in but did not say anything until we had equipment torn out. We continued the install because it was really Hot and we didnt want the seller to be without AC. Once the buyer moved in he did not like install, equipment, timing and refuses to pay for the equipment. Is there a remedy that we can remove equipment.

Who contracted the install? That is the customer and who pays, it doesn't matter who owns the home then or now. If they refuse to pay and you installed what was quoted in a workmanlike manner then you file a mechanics lien on the property.
