negotiating with a broker as homeowner

I am curious if there is a negotiation course out there for landlords to sharpen their skills. I have flipped homes for 15 years with my best friend who is a broker in Florida and we sold homes that were ethically done and quality remodels. I am in NY state now, in my small cottage that is my primary residence, and I rent for summer season. The market in my area is unlike Florida, and I don't know the protocol in this area. It seems to be different based on every person I talk to. This particular neighborhood is known nationally and very prissy. But my pricing is fair based on the comps so what I am realizing is that the area requires a stiff negotiating ability. Any suggestions on resources for that? I was asked to make concessions that are not in my best interest in the last month & I am the only remodeled home at these prices. - Thanks
