Accountant/CPA for New STR Investor in Houston
We’re starting construction on our lake-front retirement home in East Texas on Lake Sam Rayburn. It’s our dream place, and we plan to operate it as a short-term rental while keeping personal use to about 14 days a year (plus the occasional work weekend). Over the next 15–20 years, our goal is to add a few STR properties and ultimately manage them in retirement. In the near term, I don’t expect rental income to cover expenses, so every dollar matters. My aim is to set things up correctly from day one, entity structure, bookkeeping, and a tax-efficient plan, so we can grow the right way. I am looking for recommendations for an Accountant/CPA who works with newer STR investors at a more modest price point. We live in Houston and would prefer to work with someone we could meet with in person if needed. We are just starting out and looking for guidance on the right way to get started vs complex tax planning. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

It seems as though you may have posted at an off hour as there are usually more accountants posting, but I would encourage you to search previous CPA related posts and/or use the "build your investing team" tool above and click on "tax pros"
Good luck!
