Recommended neighborhoods in Pittsburgh?

looking for a property to invest in Pittsburgh value of 100K$.

for buy and hold strategy.

what are the recommended neighborhoods for such an investment?

Generally don't want to go based off zip codes in Pittsburgh. For example 15212 includes multiple different neighborhoods ranging from C class 100k homes all the way up to A class 800k homes in the same zip. So want to go based off the neighborhood level. Even within the same neighborhood you have nice sections and not as nice sections. So will have a lot of variability when it comes to desirability and rents/home prices depending where you are at specifically.

Some of the neighborhoods in Pittsburgh I like right now that you can buy in under 100k (likely with some TLC needed) are below. These are all neighborhoods that might still be a bit gritty but generally are overall decent enough right now and have upside to gentrify (or continue to) in the future in my opinion.

Brighton Heights, Observatory Hill, Troy Hill, Millvale, Etna, Larimer, Crafton Heights, Wind Gap, Chartiers City, Carrick, Beechview, Allentown, Hazelwood, Homestead, Uptown, Coraopolis, Ambridge.

Outside of these we have a ton of "river towns" which are older neighborhoods located along each of the three rivers that branch out from downtown here that are solid rental areas. I would go out about 45 minutes from downtown in each direction and that will still give you enough rental demand since you aren't too too far away from jobs. You can get sub 100k in pretty much all of these areas and most of them are stable. Wouldn't expect as much appreciation/rent growth from these areas as maybe the ones I mentioned above but there is still demand and good deals to be had in those towns. The rent/price ratios are quite good as well.
