New wholesaler to the game, looking for tips, knowledge, advice.
Hey everyone, I'm Josh.
I come from a go to market (sales) and ecommerce marketing background.
I've been following the real-estate and wholesale scene for a bit, and think I finally want to put my go to market knowledge to use.
I know how to dial, find data, I'm hungry, and feel the background blends well.
Would love new connections in the space or just any tips for a new guy breaking in.

Joshua, welcome to BiggerPockets, glad you’re jumping in.
Your background is actually a strong fit for wholesaling.
At its core, this business is marketing, lead flow, and conversations.
You’re already ahead if you understand data, outreach, and conversion.
One simple tip that saves many beginners:
Focus on deal quality early, not just lead volume.
Plenty of leads won’t help if the deals aren’t truly assignable or attractive to buyers.
Stay consistent, stay visible here, and keep engaging - the learning curve shortens fast when you’re active in the community.
Feel free to reach out if you need any help. Happy to connect and support you on your REI journey.
All the best,
Stevan
