New here — MLO from [City, State], working on becoming an investor myself

Hey everyone, I'm Nate. I'm a loan officer based in Boston -  most of my time is spent helping other people finance their deals. 

Funny enough, with diving into the investor world from a loan officer perspective, I haven't actually pulled the trigger on the borrower side myself yet. That's part of why I'm here honestly. I want to start learning from the buyer's side instead of just the lending side!

Right now I'm leaning toward a first rental in New England, somewhere in the NH/northern MA market, mostly because it is close to home.

Not trying to pitch anything here, just want to learn from people who are actually doing this. Happy to help out on the financing side too if that's ever useful to anyone.
