Hi, I am new here how are you guys dealing with increasing rent under LA regulations

Hey everyone,

I’m a landlord dealing with a property in Los Angeles right now, and I’m honestly stressing out over getting this rent increase notice right.

I’ve been trying to figure out whether my unit falls strictly under the LA RSO (3% cap) or AB 1482 rules (8.7% cap), double-checking the percentage math, and making sure I have the exact required statutory language under California Civil Code § 827 and LAHD guidelines. Everything I read online says that if you miss a single phrase or get the 30-day vs. 90-day notice window wrong, the whole notice is completely void.

I really don't want to mess this up or pay a lawyer a fortune just to draft a standard increase letter. How do you guys usually handle this? Is there a foolproof template or tool you use to make sure it's legally airtight?

Can anyone help me out or point me in the right direction? I'd really appreciate it.
