Double check my logic please!

Hi everyone, I have been away from BP for quite some time after moving out of the US to Spain where I did a few investments here. Starting to look back at the US for out of state / country investing. I have several properties in Boston that are doing well but the market has gotten too high for me over the years.

My plan is to buy 5 3/4plex buy & hold rental properties over the next 5 years as part of my passive income journey.  I am aiming for an avg purchase price of 450-500k per property and open to any market.  My research landed me on Cleveland or El Paso. I have a tendency towards TX in general as I may eventually move back there from Spain at some point so leaning towards El Paso more.

Is my logic sound?   Would love to hear from investors in these markets on how it's going.

Sounds like a solid plan. If you have the funds for it, buying a 4-plex every year for 5 years will definitely put you in a solid position. And at that price range my local Milwaukee market could be considered. I am out of town with family so I just put this together with AI. But I could get you these numbers more officially when I am back in town. But I think Milwaukee would be a competitive market on your list. If you want to dig deeper on the Milwaukee market, let me know and we can discuss it further. But either way, bust of luck on the continuation of your investment career!
