Heat Pumps in New England
As I'm looking to purchase a first property up here in New England (Vermont), the use of oil/propane for heating homes really drags down these cash flowing properties.
I'm curious to know how much success you have had installing heat pumps as a primary heating source for tenants who would then control and pay for their heat/AC through their individualized electric bills. (along with their electric water heaters). The oil/propane would then be used as backup for when these winters up here get nasty.
Things look convincing in theory and on paper, but I'd like some real input from the community. Thanks ahead of time!

@Gregory L Danyow Haven't gone that route personally yet, been waiting for the technology to improve especially for the coldest areas (I invest mainly in north - central VT). Also curious if others have installed heat pump in these regions and how the experience was.
