VRBO is Now Testing AI Enchancing on Your Photos and May Change Your Cover Photo

I got an email this morning:

"Vrbo is testing AI-powered optimizations to improve how your listing images appear in search.  Starting in June, Vrbo will begin testing enhancements that may highlight the most engaging image from a property’s existing photo library as the listing’s main image. The system will evaluate image quality and relevance to better reflect what drives interest and clicks, helping listings stand out and making it easier for travelers to quickly see what makes your listing appealing.
During the testing period, only images you’ve already uploaded will be used; no new images will be created or added. To help ensure your
property is represented the way you want, we recommend reviewing your photo library and ensuring your strongest images are included, especially exteriors or primary living spaces."

The email also includes a link to opt out of this.

Notice that the email says they are starting this in June, and today is July 9th.

I checked my photos, they are still the same, no enhancement yet.  I'm leaving them as is and will see what they're going to do.  I may have to opt out if they insist on making my kitchen the cover photo or some other dumb thing.

Quote from @Mike Shemp:

I just opted-out of it.  Maybe I'll opt-back in after their initial testing period.

I agree.  Opt out now.  Stay off the bleeding edge/cutting edge.  Wait till bugs are fixed.
