Hi All! Looking to get started and buy a duplex in the Philadelphia suburbs in late spring / early summer of 2027. Currently putting money away for a down payment. Looking to buy a duplex as my first property and live in one unit and rent out the other. I'd like to buy a duplex that needs some cosmetic upgrades so that I can add some value to the duplex. My problem is that I have very few connections to the real estate investing community and I am trying to branch out to gain those connections in the city of Philadelphia, specifically the surrounding suburbs. I would love to connect with some investors that have done a couple deals and have gone through the trials and tribulations of real estate investing to pick their brain. I would also love to know what meet ups in the city of Philadelphia are legit and good for people like me, who is just starting out! Any advice is appreciated! Thank you!
