Help in turning home into my first rental property.

The problem is I was out of work for 18 months around 2024. I have probably 40,000 to 60,000 equity in the home. But because of bad credit score. I cant access the equity to do roof repairs and other minor repairs needed. Before turning into a rental. Any suggestions or options that I have that I can not see, would be appreciated.

I would focus on your credit and making $$. Worst case sell the home and then house hack down the road when you are in a better financial position. You don't want the deferred maintenance to add up
