CPA - If I hire you?

If I hire you as my CPA, what software would you like me to use? quickbooks? and what is the second most used software your clients use and that you are okay with? example:freshbooks, freeagent, personal excel sheets.

If you are familiar with the software that you are using and can generate reports(profit and loss + Balance Sheet), then it shouldn't matter what software is being used.If you need assistance making adjustments, then it helps to use the software that the CPA is most familiar with.I personally think Quickbooks Desktop or Quickbooks online are the most familiar by CPA's.Best of luck.

I want a good balance sheet with all of the assets listed. Preferably comparable year over year.

I want a good general ledger with all activity for the year.

I want a good Profit/Loss (Income Statement) with a good delineation of revenues and expenses broken out into a few categories. Preferably comparable year over year.

What I do not want: A bunch of bank statements with bad record keeping. A balance sheet that does not have all of the bank accounts or properties listed. Retained Earnings that doesn't roll from prior year. I do not want 2 dozen revenue accounts and 100 expense accounts, there can certainly be fewer revenue and expense accounts than 125.

It's more important to setup whatever software in a way compatible with what the CPA wants.
